phlox flowers ~ two ways

These beautiful little flowers are bright and cheery and a joy to photograph.  On a sunny day their vivid colors are magnificent!

Continuing on with trying “painterly” photography, I decided to create a second version.  With low saturation of color, a shift to a slightly warmer hue, and a filter called “crosshatch” which is similar to a canvas weave, I’m happy with how it turned out, especially in the click-to-enlarge.

  1. I like both versions. Each has its own charm and “presence.”
